Peacefully at Sprucedale Care Centre on Wednesday April 27th,2016. Johan "John" Reisenauer of Komoka and formerly the Strathroy -Caradoc area in his 93rd year. Born Dec 18th, 1923 in Romania. Predeceased by his wife Rose (2004) & parents Josif and Agueta. Dear stepfather of Glynda (Larry) Ford, Charleen (Larry) Sullivan, & Graham (Lorraine) Jackson as well as grandchildren and greatgrandchildren Kari-Anne (Andrew) Laurin, Jeffrey Jackson, Sara (Josh) Jackson, Shannon Sullivan, Byron Sullivan, Brady Laurin, Dawson Laurin, & Landon Jackson. Sadly missed by sister-in-laws Catherine and Rose Flegel. Surviving family in Germany are Artur Raichel, Hans (Rosi) Reisenauer & Julianna Raichel. Predeceased by his siblings Josif and Michael Reisenauer , and Agnetha Raichel. Special mention to close friend Jean Hailstone and her daughters Marianne, Shirley, Ruth and their families. John immigrated to Canada in 1953 where he obtained his Citizenship in 1959. Lived in the local area of Strathroy and Komoka where he owned his own business as a bricklayer. Served in the German Army during WWII. Loved his gardening , travelling and fishing. Friends will be received by the family at the Elliott- Madill Funeral Home, Mount Brydges on Sunday May 1st from 7pm to 9pm where a memorial service to celebrate Johns life will be held on Monday May 2nd commencing at 12 noon.
